Franco Palioff

Franco Palioff (b. 1988, Junín, Argentina) lives and works in Berlin.

Through a grotesque, dark, and intense aesthetic, Franco Palioff’s work explores otherworldly narratives and creatures through intricate images, objects, machines, and complex installations. With a background in Nuclear Engineering, he combines techniques in programming, artificial intelligence, robotics, painting, sculpture, drawing, modeling, and 3D design to create absurd and convoluted imagery, as well as building robotic objects with intelligent behaviors. His practice connects emotions perceived through computer vision tools with robotic reactions, shaping objects as fictional products that integrate robotic responses with game theory algorithms.

Notable solo exhibitions include First Hit at Erratum Gallery, Berlin (2022), and Decode at Airez Gallery, Curitiba, Brazil (2019). He has also participated in group exhibitions at Mendes Wood DM, São Paulo, Brazil; Bavan Gallery, Iran (2020 and 2021); Valuart Gallery, Paradiso, Switzerland (2021); Erratum Gallery and Open Studios Glogauair, Berlin, Germany (2022); Lona Galeria and Casa de Criadores, São Paulo (2018 and 2020); The Wrong in Brazil (2020); Kavro/ARTEBA (2022); and Galería Gascón, Buenos Aires, Argentina (2022).
