IV EDITION 2025/2026
The fourth edition of the SMTH digital art program, which ran from September 15, 2024, to July 31, 2025, was a journey through different forms of digital creation, combining the participation of established artists, international talents, and digital art students. Over several months, the program has occupied 15 spaces throughout Spain, including venues such as Plenilunio, Príncipe Pío, Zielo, SOM, LABA Valencia, Meridiano, Vallsur, Nueva Condomina, L'Aljub, Xperience Sant Boi, Xperience Parque Rioja, La Gavia, and Sala CUPRA.
This edition began in September with Metamorfosis Visual, a collective exhibition presented at an event at Sala CUPRA and organized in conjunction with UNTIE, featuring works by key artists in the current digital art scene. In January, Nescience or the state of not knowing was launched, an international call for entries in collaboration with the MMMAD festival, focusing on the relationship between art and artificial intelligence, with the participation of artists from around the world. Finally, we closed July with Reflejos Digitales (Digital Reflections), an open call aimed at students and carried out together with the artist and professor Felina H. dB., who participated as a jury member, addressing the theme of identity in the digital age.
Among the artists participating in this first exhibition were Alba de la Fuente, Adri Besada, Nono Palace, Monomo, and Nebvla. These are established artists in the world of digital art, and we thank them for their participation. In the international call, a jury formed by Boldtron, CROSSLUCID, and Julia Kaganskiy selected five artists as winners, including Annan Shao, Andrea Mikyska, Felina H. dB., Sybil Montet, and Thinh Truong. In turn, for the call dedicated to students, the works of Esteban Riviera, Iñaki Cancillo Mora, Lida Zacharopoulou, OFF_DISARTIST, and the P.A.R.T.V. collective were selected as winners. This time, Felina H. dB. served as a judge and collaborator for this call.
This edition has served to continue exploring new ways of showing and thinking about digital art, occupying unconventional spaces and connecting with diverse audiences. SMTH continues to grow as an open, flexible, and evolving platform, with the aim of continuing to promote practices that combine creativity, technology, and a critical eye.
